The Motoring Bucket List #11: Drive down an empty country road with the windows rolled down while listening to ‘Bat Out of Hell’.

Driving and music are two things that go hand-in-hand, and there is nothing quite like the feeling of driving down an empty country road on a balmy summer’s day with some fantastic motoring music blaring in the background – and Meatloaf’s ‘Bat Out of Hell’ is the perfect choice.

Comprising of an exceptional instrumental section and booming rock and roll sound ‘Bat Out of Hell’ is as much an experience as it is simply a song, and at a staggering 9 minutes 47 seconds, the original album version is long enough to occupy most car journeys!

That being said, depicting as it does a horrific motorcycle crash, it is perhaps not to take too much inspiration from it while taking on the curves and bends of a country road!
