Now we’re not sure about the introducing presenter’s downwards fist pump at the start of this video, but what we are sure about is that the new Chevrolet Corvette Z06 is so cool it is making us feel chilly even all the way over here in the UK – even the custard-yellow paint job can’t dampen the sheer awesomeness of this car’s aesthetic.
We’ll have to wait and see whether the claim of a ‘visceral driving experience’ is realised, but if it drives anywhere near as good as it looks we’re sure in for a treat.
A ‘Porsche for all seasons’ according to CEO and president Matthias Müller which sounds nice – although we didn’t realise you could only drive the other models at certain times of the year. They kept that quiet.
Beyond the excessively dramatic presentation the 911 Targa isn’t a huge departure style wise, but still, it’s a brand new 911 which is always exciting as far as we’re concerned.
Mercedes Benz unveiled not one, but three vehicles at the 2014 NAIAS: the Concept S-Class Coupé, the GLA 45 AMG and the new C-Class, the latter of which was introduced by Kelly Rowland singing ‘Work’. Which was a bit awkward…
The Concept S-Class was the most interesting of the three, with a bold and sleek design that suggests there is some serious power lurking under that bonnet.
For those of you who don’t have an unlimited budget, Volvo has also debuted a new concept car at the NAIAS, the XC Concept Coupé. Slightly more on the practical side of the scale, this Volvo is all about safety, with a ‘capable attitude’ and is ‘perfectly in tune with the outdoor activities that are a vital part of Swedish lifestyle’.
Sounds great then – but you could’ve dressed up for it a little bit mate…
We’ll be posting more of our highlights from the 2014 North American International Auto Show over the coming days so keep an eye out.
