Insure4aday.co.uk can provide you with temporary comprehensive motor insurance cover for periods of between 1 - 28 days; for most cars and vans up to 3.50 tonnes. Cover is available for persons who have been resident in the UK for the past 12 months, are aged between 21 and 75 and hold a current full and valid UK, EEA, EU or Swiss driving licence for at least 12 months.
The policy provides the legal minimum level of cover in all EU countries. You can extend this cover to Comprehensive for an additional charge. You will be able to add this extension of cover during the purchase process.
To clarify, the policy states:
'For an additional premium payable at the inception of the policy, Comprehensive cover is provided for European journeys providing they start and finish in the UK during the period of insurance cover purchased.'
The Insure 4 a day policy is not designed to provide cover if you intend to export a vehicle out of the UK. You will be able to use the 30 policy option to recover a seized or impounded vehicle.
The insure 4 a day policy is designed for drivers who require immediate, short-term insurance cover in order to be able to drive in the United Kingdom; and to provide cover for a period of between 1 to 28 days against accident, fire or theft damage to their vehicle which does not exceed £40000 in value, as well as their legal obligations or third party claims.
The insure 4 a day learner driver policy is designed for provisional licence holders who require immediate, short-term insurance cover in order to be able to drive in the United Kingdom; and to provide cover for a period of between 1 to 28 days against accident, fire or theft damage to a car not owned by them or registered in their name which does not exceed £25000 in value, as well as their legal obligations or third party claims.
You must not proceed with the purchase of short-term insurance cover if you cannot agree to any of the statements contained in the acceptance criteria.
